Cloud Storage Setup

ProduceLinc connects to three separate cloud storage locations, each serving a different purpose. All three follow the same structure — an account name, a container name, and a security access key.

Pallet File Storage

ProduceLinc reads and writes pallet files through a cloud storage location. These three fields connect the system to that storage location.

  • Account Name — The name of the cloud storage account
  • Container Name — The specific storage container (folder) within that account where pallet files are kept
  • SAS Token — A security access key that gives ProduceLinc permission to read and write to that storage location

Loading Instruction Storage

Loading instruction documents are stored in a separate cloud storage location. These three fields connect ProduceLinc to that location.

  • Storage Account — The cloud storage account name
  • Container — The storage container where loading instruction files are kept
  • SAS Token — The security access key for that storage location

Documentation Storage

ProduceLinc can automatically save freight and logistics documents for a freighter trip leg to a cloud storage location — saving users the time of saving each document individually. This is currently used for the following document types: loading instructions, loading notifications, freight delivery notes, export addendum, commercial invoices, and customs invoices.

An additional benefit is that freight forwarders can be granted direct access to the cloud storage location, allowing them to retrieve documents themselves and eliminating the need for users to email documents to them.

  • Account Name — The cloud storage account name
  • Container Name — The storage container where documents are archived
  • SAS Token — The security access key for that storage location
